Sponsored by Jubilee and TEN partners, the Bright Start Project is a transformative initiative aimed at revolutionizing public education in the coastal districts of Ghana's Western Region.

With a core focus on STEM education, the project is structured around three critical pillars:

Focus on STEM Education

The Bright Start Project is dedicated to strengthening STEM education in Ghana’s Western Region by equipping educators with innovative teaching tools, refining lesson plans to align with national standards, and fostering interactive, hands-on learning experiences

Through teacher training workshops, Learning Management System (LMS) development, and the distribution of STEM-focused Teaching and Learning Materials (TLMs), the project ensures that both students and teachers have the resources needed to engage in meaningful scientific exploration. By integrating monitoring and evaluation frameworks, the initiative also tracks impact, refines strategies, and sustains long-term improvements in STEM education accessibility and effectiveness.

General Overview

The Bright Start Portal is an interactive Learning Management System (LMS) designed to support STEM education by providing educators with structured lesson plans, quizzes, and digital teaching resources.

The portal is accessible to various user groups, including Administrators, STEM Coordinators, Headteachers, Teachers, District Directors, and Regional Directors, each with specific permissions and responsibilities.

Dashboard & Navigation

The dashboard offers an overview of user activity, uploaded files, quiz results, and total lessons, allowing admins to monitor engagement and performance.

User Management

Administrators can add new users by selecting "Add New User" in the Quick Actions menu and filling in the required details.

  • Admin – Full access to manage the portal, add users, create modules, and review analytics.
  • STEM Coordinators – Oversee lesson implementation and training progress for schools within their district.
  • Headteachers & Teachers – Access STEM learning materials and conduct assessments.
  • District/Regional Directors – Monitor engagement at higher levels.

Yes. Quiz results are logged and accessible through the portal's dashboard analytics, helping educators assess learner performance.
